My Approach & How We’ll Work Together

I approach therapy as a collaborative process. Opening up isn’t easy and trust isn’t something I expect you to hand over…It’s something earned and built overtime. For many people, it’s taken years to even consider talking about certain things and I don’t force that. Instead, we’ll move at a pace that feels steady and safe for you.

In our sessions, we’ll slow things down and make space to really understand what’s happening in your life. We’ll explore your patterns, relationships and different parts of you that show up in hard moments. Rather than trying to “fix” anything, we will get curious and replace judgement with awareness so change can begin to happen more naturally.

I draw from mindfulness and parts-based approaches to help you notice these patterns, build insight and create more choice in how you respond. Sessions will focus on what’s happening in your life, whether its relationships, parenting, your work or day to day stress.

Here’s What That Looks Like in Practice

  • Mindfulness-based awareness: We use present-moment attention to recognize patterns and soothe overwhelming feelings and sensations in order to keep you in the driver’s seat. 

  • Insight and parts-based work: You have many parts inside you —parts that worry or push to get everything right, parts that are fierce protectors, parts that avoid conflict, and parts that carry deep fear and pain. Some parts simply long for peace. We explore them with curiosity and compassion to build insight and creating more choice, rather than staying stuck in old patterns.  

  • Skills for navigating life: Grounding skills, coping strategies, self-compassion practices, and tools that help you feel steadier in everyday life. 

What Sets Me Apart

Much of my professional life has been spent in high-pressure healthcare and leadership environments, which shaped how I sit with people today. I understand the pace, the pressure and the quiet expectations many high achieving professional, caregivers and working parents carry. In our work, we’ll look beneath the surface of anxiety, burnout and grief to build insight and steadiness that lasts. Though these are areas I know deeply, I also support adults navigating many other seasons of change and challenge.
